We are a third generation family run business that opened its doors to service all aspects of the pool & spa industry in the Peterborough area. Starting out with fewer than 5 employees and working out of 2 service vehicles, building Concrete pools for nearly 4 decades across Peterborough County, Kawartha Lakes, Northumberland, Durham, Haliburton and Hastings County.
We moved from our first location on Landsdowne Street and The Parkway to Queensway Court in the early 70’s with a 3,000 square foot showroom (Open all year). Over the years we’ve grown to more than 40 employees with 12 service vehicles working 6 days a week during peak season. Since the late 80’s we only focus on putting in more affordable Residential and Commercial vinyl outdoor and indoor swimming pools.
In 2015 we expanded by opening a store location in Cobourg at 991 Division Street (Open all year). Our growth has been steady over the years and to help our customers meet their expectations our 2 locations have been integrated so no matter what store they visit they can receive the best possible service.
No job is too big or too small, we want to give our customers a feeling “that they are at home”. The fantastic service that we have given to our customers over the years has awarded us the Peterborough Examiner Reader Choice Award 16 times.
Over the years we have been fortunate enough to be chosen to do many large scale jobs. We have built pools at Hope Valley Day Camp in Lakefield, Bailey’s Bay Resort in Flowers Corners, Beaver Narrows Resort in Omemee, Bellmere Winds Golf Resort in Keene, Birdsall Beach Resort in Hastings, Lang’s Resort in Roseneath, Adelaide Place in Lindsay. The City of Peterborough chose Sterling Pools to build the McKellar Street wading pool that is still being used today.
Beyond new installations we are also recognized as a top renovation and insurance company for pools and spas in Central Ontario. We have been called for renovations by companies such as Trent University, Otonabee Best Western, Campbellford Community pool and the old Peterborough YMCA. When the Centennial pool in Cobourg needed renovations they called us.
Even though we have listed many large scale jobs, our main clientele is the individual, each year we install many Inground and Onground pools for the general public. We pride ourselves on making the pool installation experience a pleasant one for all our customers.
